How to use your custom-made functional prosthesis

1. Unpack and inspect:
   When you receive your  Hermsa® prosthesis, carefully remove it from the packaging. Inspect the prosthesis for any visible defects and ensure it is clean before first use.
2. Soften the prosthesis for a custom fit:
   Prepare a bowl of warm water (not boiling, approximately 70-80°C / 158-176°F). Submerge the prosthesis in the warm water for 1-2 minutes. The medical grade natural rubber material will soften, making it pliable and ready to be molded. 
3. Adjust to your mouth:
   Carefully remove the denture from the water and shake off excess moisture. Place the denture in your mouth and fit it comfortably against your gums and teeth. Bite gently but firmly for about 30 seconds to create a personalized fit. Use your fingers to press the denture against your gums for a tight fit.  
4. Cool and set the denture:
   After shaping, remove the denture and rinse it under cold water to set.
   Once the denture has cooled, it will retain its custom fit and perfectly match the unique contours of your mouth.
5. Adjust as needed:
   If the fit is not perfect, repeat steps 2–4 until you achieve a comfortable and secure fit.
   The prosthesis can be reshaped several times without losing its durability.
